Class Description Ashtanga Yoga, the eight-limbed
path of yoga, is a classical system of yoga that provides vinyasa (breath-synchronized movement) and philosophical guidelines
for practice on and off the mat. Ashtanga vinyasa made its way to the United States in the 1970’s and inspired many
popular forms of modern yoga, such as Power Yoga and all flow-based practices. This monthly series will delve deeper into
the philosophy of the eight limbs and the basics tenets of Ashtanga vinyasa, including asana, pranayama, bandha, and drishti.
